Since opening in 2003, we’ve dedicated part of our business to serving those in need by providing them with our high-quality, farm fresh pork. We’ve donated to non-profit organizations stretched across our state and beyond to try to meet the need for quality protein that is typically lacking in the diets of those hungry and hurting. We’ve realized there is much more work to do. Most donations to non-profits are canned goods and highly processed, shelf stable foods. We know protein is a vital part of a healthy diet, and we believe that by providing people with quality protein, we can give them the energy to improve their health and strength to improve their situation.  There’s a serious shortage of meat available to the nonprofits doing the legwork to get people fed. We believe that with help, we can fill that need. 

Our dream is to make this bigger than what we’ve been able to do on our own. We’ve had interest from other businesses wanting to donate meat to nonprofits in our area, so we’ve decided to offer our processing services at a discounted cost. 

How would this work?

A company or individual can contact Thompson Farms with a donation amount. Thompson Farms will then produce various meat packages at a discounted price and will also contact a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization to distribute the protein. The company or individual will be given proof of donation from the nonprofit, which will be tax deductible. 

The individuals/families in need would be given vacuum sealed meat in small packages to support freshness and reduce waste. We will be offering various proteins, including pork, chicken and beef from our own farm and trusted meat distributors.

We have built strong connections with several nonprofits such as local food banks, senior centers, wounded warriors, homeless shelters, women’s shelters, and more so we can ensure the donation gets in the right hands.
